This cover was a collaboration between NRHA Reiner's editor Simona Diale, photographer Andrea Bonaga and the design by me. The image was cropped tight originally. I worked it over so I could expand the background to fill the page and also blur it so the subject (Ann Fonck) would "pop" off the page.

The mast color was set previously and was part of the NRHA's 50th year celebration branding. All together the cover was stunning and It placed 1st in the American Horse Publications awards.
